Index Ventures raises $2B, earmarking $400M for seed
The 30-year-old firm lifts total investing capacity to $3.5B, including a new dedicated seed fund — the stage where angels usually co-invest.

On July 31, 2026, Index Ventures said it had raised $2B across three funds: $400M for a new seed fund, $900M for its venture fund, and $700M added to a growth fund launched in 2024 with $1.5B, taking that vehicle to $2.2B. Total investing capacity now stands at $3.5B. Two years ago Index raised $2.3B across two funds, including $800M for a predecessor venture fund. Per TechCrunch, Index has refrained from ballooning fund sizes; earlier this year portfolio company Wiz closed its $32B sale to Alphabet.
