Singapore continues to absorb most of the region's capital. Vietnam and Indonesia, together with Singapore, account for over 80% of deal volume.

To July 2026, Southeast Asia recorded US$12.8 billion across 178 equity funding rounds. Regional venture capital peaked at US$25 billion in 2021, fell to about US$7.5 billion in 2023, then partially recovered to roughly US$10 billion across 2024–2025.
- Singapore captured about 92% of the region's total startup funding in the first half of 2025.
- Indonesia, Singapore and Vietnam together account for over 80% of deal volume.
- Capital is rotating away from generic consumer e-commerce toward AI, climate tech and specialised fintech.
- Late-stage funding surged 140% while seed-stage funding dropped 50%.
