Southeast Asia startup funding in October 2026: $3.68B after an unusually thin September
A TNGlobal tally published on Nov 4 shows a 1,665% month-on-month jump. The figure says more about how thin September was than about the region's underlying health.

On Nov 4, 2026, TNGlobal published its regional tally: Southeast Asian startups raised $3.68 billion in October 2026, up 1,665% from September. A month-on-month swing that large only occurs when the prior month's base is tiny, so the correct reading is that September was nearly frozen while October carried at least a few large disclosed deals.

Total Southeast Asia funding, H1 2026 (six months)
Put side by side, the two numbers give a telling ratio: the region raised $7.25 billion across the first six months of 2026, averaging roughly $1.2 billion a month, while October ran about three times that average. But monthly series in Southeast Asia are easily skewed by a handful of large rounds, so one strong month is not evidence that the cycle has turned.
