Three senior investors estimate that roughly 75% of all 2026 venture capital has flowed to just five AI companies. Close to a third of global Q2 venture funding went to a single name: Anthropic, which raised US$65 billion in the quarter.
That concentration distorts every market average. When reading this year's industry reports, strip out the mega-rounds before drawing conclusions about early-stage companies.
